We are pleased to welcome heo as a new Smart Robotics customer. Starting in 2027, the distributor of licensed products, collectibles and games will use our AI-driven item-picking and palletizing solutions at its high-tech campus in Herxheim, Germany.
The project marks an important milestone for Smart Robotics: for the first time, a customer will operate two of our solutions within one integrated system!
Automating Intralogistics at Scale
heo handles more than 30,000 products from over 380 brands for more than 5,000 international B2B customers, ranging from specialist retailers to major retail chains.
Managing such a diverse product portfolio places significant demands on intralogistics.
By introducing our AI-driven robotics solutions, heo is taking the next step in automating its operations.
The deployment will combine the Smart Item Picker [Link] and the Smart Palletizer 2.0[Link].
Both solutions will operate side by side as part of the same system, allowing their individual strengths to complement one another.
The combined setup will also generate additional data points across the process, helping to maximize the effectiveness of the overall automation solution.
Context and Outlook
For us, this project is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate how different AI-driven robotic applications can work together within a single intralogistics environment.
It highlights the potential of Embodied AI and advanced robotics in environments characterized by large and varied product assortments – and also represents another important step in the continued expansion of Smart Robotics in Germany .
