On the 27th of May 2020, our Italian customer Gelco, part of Perfetti van Melle, installed their newest Smart Palletizer completely by themselves. Because of the travel restrictions due to the Covid-19 virus, it was decided to ship Gelco’s second Smart Palletizer to Italy and to let the customer perform the installation by themselves. By using an installation video and with remote support from our Service Engineers, Gelco was able to install and connect the Smart Palletizer, and start production the next day.
Gelco is our second customer performing an autonomous installation of our Smart Palletizer, following one of our customers in France. It was, again, a great success and we look forward to enable future customers to autonomously install their Smart Palletizers as well!
